In AES. we drive to achieve a healthy and productive workforce and a safe working environment, it’s company policy to enforce strictly the following on the use, possession and sales of drugs, alcohol and other illegal substance by all employees, sub‐contractors & suppliers whilst on company business, on company / client locations and worksites.
• The use of Alcohol & controlled drugs in any form is strictly prohibited on all Company owned premises which include its Head office, Regional offices, Site offices, Workshops and on Client’s operational locations.
• Any member of Staff or personnel of sub-contractor & suppliers arriving at a work place under the influence of Alcohol will not be permitted to enter the premises. And further action against that person will be taken, which includes expulsion from the job and / or report to the Police.
• The company and/or client shall have the right to conduct random testing or may request testing to any personnel who is suspected to be under the influence of drug, alcohol or other substance. Any personnel tested positive for substance abuse or who refuse to be tested, shall be removed immediately from the company/client location and will be ground for disciplinary action up to or including dismissal without compensation.
• Any employee with regular alcohol drinking habit & under the influence of, or in the possession of, controlled drugs will be summarily dismissed and the facts reported to the Police.
Failure to maintain the alcohol & drug standards set by this policy will be considered as gross misconduct. Persons found not complying will be suspended from performing services from the company. Upon suspicion any employee, sub - contractor's personnel & suppliers found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs will be appropriately dealt with.
